Another game-day on the road means the O’s are at Plymouth Argyle’s Home Park for a 7:45 kick-off in the first round of the Carabao Cup this evening.
League opponents Plymouth Argyle have made a good start to the campaign, having won their first two fixtures against Colchester United and Crewe Alexandra without conceding a single goal.
The last time the two sides met was in a very memorable game, in League Two back in February 2017. Danny Webb was manager that day and the O’s came from behind twice, to salvage a 3-2 win in the dying moments of the clash.
Both Myles Judd and Sam Sargeant were in Webb’s starting XI that day, in-front of over eight thousand people at Home Park.
After scrapping extra time last season, if the scores are level after 90-minutes the tie will be decided by penalty kicks.
Ross Embleton may be looking to make some changes to the XI that were defeated at Macclesfield in-order to ensure players get minutes.
Joe Widdowson will be hopeful of returning to defence while Embleton has plenty of options to switch up his midfield and attacking options if needed.
Jobi McAnuff, Jamie Turley, James Dayton and remain sidelined but are all in stages of their respective recoveries.
Any O’s fans wishing to pay on the day can do via turnstile 22. Tickets that have already been purchased for collection should be picked up from the same place.
