Leyton Orient travel to Northampton this Saturday as both of Justin Edinburgh’s last two clubs go head-to-head for the first time since his heart-breaking passing last June.
Justin took charge of Northampton in January 2017 and helped the Cobblers secure safety in League One that season. Edinburgh left the club in the August of that year and joined the O’s three months later who he led back to the Football League.
Ahead of the game Northampton boss Keith Curle remembered Justin, telling ntfc.co.uk this:
‘’I came across Justin a few times as a manager, coach and certainly as a player.
He had a real enthusiasm and passion for football, and I think everybody who knew Justin was touched by his professionalism, affection and enthusiasm for the game.”
The hosts have a number of tributes planned for this weekend’s game including a pre-match period of applause and a collection to support the Justin Edinburgh 3 foundation.
Saturday’s programme will feature a number of articles that look back and celebrate Justin’s life, as well as Edinburgh’s picture being on the front cover of the programme.
