The O’s visit The PTS Academy Stadium this Saturday, as they take on 13th place Northampton Town. Earlier this week, Ross Embleton spoke to the O’s show as he looked ahead to Orient’s 12th League Two game of the season.
‘’It’s going to be a real tough encounter, it’s a tough place to go. We’ve identified some areas where we think we can hurt them, and we have to make sure we really give ourselves the opportunity to do so.’’
Under the stewardship of Keith Curle the hosts have won four, drawn three and lost four games this season, picking up 15 points.
The Cobblers aren’t afraid to play direct and Embleton knows that his side will have to work hard if they are to take anything from the game.
“I’m expecting a big strong team. A team that are going to be aggressive and perhaps direct at times. There’ll be balls going into our box and we know that we’ve got to roll our sleeves up and go to work in terms of what we do without the ball.’’
Embleton believes his team are comfortable working hard off the ball, but admitted the correct mentality needs to be implemented for the full 90 minutes of the game.
‘’I think that’s something that we have do every week and it’s something we achieve in the terms of the energy and work rate that we put into games. It’s the concentration and the focus that we need to try and put into longer periods of games and important stages of games.’’
