Elsewhere in Group K of the Trophy, Southend United suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Brighton & Hove Albion U21 last week.
Following Saturday’s 1-0 win on the road against Northampton Town, Ross Embleton admits he is likely to rotate mid-week.
‘’They’ll certainly be changes to the team on Tuesday night to give people opportunities and minutes on the pitch.
It’s a competition where I feel we can give people a really good opportunity to play their way into the team. I maintain that’s always going to be the case.’’
Sam ling is likely to be ruled out after being forced off the pitch with an injury on Saturday. Lee Angol and Jamie Turley remain sidelined while Ruel Sotiriou and Hector Kyrpianou are on international duty with Cyprus.
Group stage matches are of ninety minutes duration, with no extra time.
Three points are awarded for a victory.
If the scores are level at the end of the group match, then each Club is awarded one point. In addition, the match will be followed immediately by the taking of kicks from the penalty mark in accordance with procedures as approved by the International Football Association Board (IFAB) and the Club that wins the penalty shootout will be awarded an additional one point.
Tonight’s match will be officiated by Charles Breakspear, assisted by Marc Wilson and Bhupinder Gill. The Fourth Official is Gregory Read. It is the first time Breakspear has taken charge of an O’s game since April 1, 2017, when he refereed the O’s 0-2 defeat to Wycombe Wanderers in League Two.
