Last Time Out
Orient crashed out of the WNL Cup at the weekend, falling to a 6-1 defeat at home to Southern Premier Division side, Portsmouth.
Despite taking an early lead through Otesha Charles, a combination of weary Orient legs and clinical finishing from the away side, saw the O’s record their heaviest defeat of the season.
View on the Opposition
Burgess Hill Town ply their trade in the Division One West of the South East Counties League. They currently sit 3rd in that division, with a record of two wins, one draw and one defeat from their opening four games.
Managed by Luis Freitas, they have not played a game since October 6th which is in stark contrast to the O’s, who have played four games in that time. Orient will be hopeful that they can put their increased match sharpness to good use in this one.
Speaking ahead of the game, Orient Captain Danielle Griffiths was keen to stress that there will be no complacency from her side going into this one:
“As reigning Isthmian cup holders, we are, of course, looking to defend our title this season.
A big away trip on a Wednesday night poses a challenge and we know Burgess Hill will be up for the game, but we need to remain professional and make sure we come away with a result that takes us through to the next round.”
Coming to the Game?
The match takes place this Wednesday October 23rd at the Green Elephants Stadium in Burgess Hill. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:45pm, with tickets priced at £5 for Adults, £3 for Concessions and free for U18’s.
