October was a good month for the O’s as they secured 10 points from 15 with wins coming against Northampton Town, Walsall and Grimsby Town. Here are your DeVines Player of the Month nominees…

A third nomination for the O’s midfielder who currently leads the Club’s goalscoring charts with six goals this season. He has netted twice in October, scoring the final goal in the 0-4 win over Grimsby Town. He netted another from the penalty spot against Carlisle United and has impressed with his composure in a more defensive-minded role this month.

KEY STATS: 85% successful pass rate, 21 interceptions, 2 goals

Joe Widdowson had been waiting for 10 years to score so to score on his 100th appearance for the Club was special! What a strike it was, as well. He curled an effort from the edge of the box into the top corner to cap off an excellent month for the Club. The full-back has been a consistent performer down the left side and made an impressive performance in the 1-1 draw with Carlisle United.

KEY STATS: 1 goal, 30 interceptions, 11 clearances

The O’s defender has continued to cement himself as a key player for the O’s this season and netted his first league of the campaign too with a clever finish against Grimsby Town. The 21-year-old marshalled experienced League Two forwards well this month, including winning 100% of his aerial duels against Carlisle United.

KEY STATS: 176 passes, 68% aerial duels won, 1 goal

The O’s front-man has impressed with his work rate, clever play and his ability to lead the line in a month where Lee Angol missed the whole month and Conor Wilkinson missed large chunks. He netted in the win over Walsall and has worked his socks off across the month as a whole.

KEY STATS: 41 aerial duels won, 82.4% passing accuracy, 1 goal.
