Speaking to metro.news, Brown hailed the confidence of his side, who have won 19 out of 20 in all competitions this season.
‘’We are doing well and full of confidence. The lads are firing, scoring goals and creating chances. We have 18 goals in the FA Cup, and we are top goal scorers from five games in this competition.”
Maldon & Tiptree have never reached this stage of the FA Cup, prompting Brown to brand the fixture as the ‘biggest’ in Jammers’ history.
“This is the biggest tie in the history of the Club. We’ve never got this far before in the cup. Excitement breeds confidence.
There is no fear factor. Orient are in League Two and we are a few divisions below. I get that, but it is where the lads want to be. We can pit our wits against league opposition.”
Despite describing his team as ‘minnows,’ Brown has his sights on a First Round victory.
“It is nice to go and experience a bigger crowd and better ground and test yourself against better players.
We will be trying to win the game. It is all right saying we are the minnows and are in the eighth tier, but we also are driven to go and win.”
