The O’s are in County Cup action on Sunday as they host Tottenham Hotspur’s Reserves at the Mile End Stadium.

A run of four consecutive away fixtures means this match will be Orient’s first home game for well over a month and they’ll be looking to continue their fine home record this weekend.

Last Time Out

Orient progressed to the second round of the F.A Cup for their first time in their history last weekend. Ellie Stenning’s second half strike was enough to see off a well organised Cheltenham side.

The weather prior to this tie meant that passing football was at a premium at Petersfield Park. However, Chris Brayford’s side can be proud of a gritty display which showcased their defensive determination and organisation in difficult circumstances.

The O’s will now travel to Hampshire next weekend to take on Portsmouth, with a place in the third round up for grabs.

Opposition View

Tottenham’s first team currently compete in the Women’s Super League. With their reserve side plying their trade in the Reserve South East Division of the Women’s National League. They currently sit second in their division, despite having only played three league games so far this season.

They started the campaign with a couple of eye-catching victories, first beating Norwich Reserves 6-0 at home before defeating AFC Basildon’s Development 6-0 away. Their most recent result saw them share the spoils in a 2-2 draw with current league leaders, Watford U23’s.

Tammi George is Spurs’ top scorer so far with three goals in two appearances and will certainly be someone the Orient will defence will have to keep an eye on
