LOAN WATCH: Winning streak for Sweeney

Jayden Sweeney secured his third win in three games with Bishop’s Stortford this weekend to cap off a positive week for the O’s loanees.

The 18-year-old left-back played twice this week, keeping two clean sheets. The Blues secured a 1-0 win over East Thurrock United on Tuesday before securing another single goal victory away to Cheshunt on Saturday, former-O’s striker Jamie Cureton with the winning goal in both games. Sweeney played 90 minutes across both games, U18 captain Bradley McClenaghan was named on the bench for both games but didn’t come on.

Young goalkeeeper, Arthur Janata, saw victory on Tuesday with John Mackie’s Potters Bar Town. He was in goal for the 4-2 victory over Brightlingsea Regent, before falling to a 4-0 defeat to Cray Wanderers on Saturday – a team that boast Bradley Pritchard in their ranks.
