December saw the O’s pick up six points in the league, beating Cambridge United and drawing with Oldham, Bradford and Newport County.But who was your stand out player?

Jamie Turley

The central defender has been resolute at the back since returning to the O’s line up from injury and even got on the scoresheet against The U’s. Turley volleyed home and after being set up by Marvin Ekpiteta, who has partnered Turley at the heart of defence.

Sam Sargeant

The young goalkeeper has started a flurry of games in-between the sticks and has impressed, making some important saves to confirm valuable points. The 22-year-old played every single minute of football in December. Sargeant’s second half performances against Oldham and Cambridge proved to be particularly vital, helping his team secure away points.

Jordan Maguire-Drew

Usually found on the right flank, Jordan Maguire-Drew was at the heart of a lot of Orient’s goals in December. The number ten assisted Lee Angol’s goal against Bristol Rovers in the Leasing.com Trophy. A week later he tapped home against Oldham. Deadly from a set piece; Maguire-Drew played his part in Jamie Turley’s goal against Cambridge, before bending in a superb 30-yard free kick.

George Marsh

On-loan from Tottenham, the midfielder has displayed real versatility in the last few months, playing in various midfield roles as well as covering at right back against Colchester United. Notably, Marsh was awarded Man of the match for an inspired performance against Bradford City.
