AFTER WINNING THEIR FIRST GAME OF THE NEW YEAR, ORIENT WILL BE LOOKING TO CARRY ON THAT FORM ON  THURSDAY NIGHT AS THEY TRAVEL TO PHOENIX SPORTS IN THE ISTHMIAN CUP.

THE O’S ARE THE CURRENT HOLDERS OF THIS TROPHY AND WILL BE LOOKING TO PROGRESS FURTHER AFTER DEFEATING BURGESS HILL TOWN 14-0 IN THE LAST ROUND.

Last Time Out

Goals from Otesha Charles and Ellie Stenning fired Orient to a win in their first fixture of 2020, away at Cambridge City.

Midfielder, Bella Simmons pulled one back for the home side in the second half, but Chris Brayford’s side held on to gain an important three points which closed the gap on league leaders Ipswich.

Opposition View

Phoenix Sports ply their trade in the SECWFL Premier League. They currently sit 5th in that division, having won four and lost four of their eight games played so far.

Their most recent result saw them lose 3-1 to Parkwood Rangers on Sunday. Phoenix have played opposition from Orient’s division already this season, losing out 8-2 away at AFC Basildon in the F.A Cup.

Grace Laverick and Lia Skingley are their side’s joint top scorers this season, with eight goals each and they’ll be looking to add to their total against the O’s on Thursday night.

Coming to the Game?

The match takes place this Thursday 23rd January at the Mayplace Ground, Bexleyheath, DA7 6JT. Kick-off is scheduled for 8pm.
