The Qualiteach Community Stand – Early Bird Amnesty

access_time 6 months ago

Everyone at Leyton Orient FC would like the Qualiteach Community Stand to be a true family stand, full of young family groups in an environment that’s most suited to them. We want matchdays at The Breyer Group Stadium to be a magical experience for these youngsters as they grow up as ardent O’s fans and the next generation of Season Card holders.

For many years we have stated that single person applications in this stand will not be accepted and only family groups should apply. We are however aware that there are Adults and Concessions who have either applied as a single-person application or who regularly attend without an accompanying Under-11 or Under-18 Season Ticket holder. On occasions, individuals have sadly spoilt the family experience with bad language or at times anti-social behaviour and this isn’t something we want to see.

Therefore from the 2020/21 season onwards, Adults and Concessions will only be able to purchase a Season Card in the Qualiteach Community Stand with an Under-18 or Under-11 Season Card.

To help facilitate this we would like to offer those current Season Ticket holders in the Qualiteach Community Stand who don’t have an Under-18 or Under-11 with them, an Early Bird Amnesty where they can relocate to another stand* at the same price (e.g £189 Adult / £135 Concession). This offer is only applicable during the current Early Bird window (18 March-30 April), after which anyone making this switch to another seat in the stadium will pay the normal price for that stand.

Danny Macklin, Chief Executive, comments, “We have an ambition for the Qualiteach Community Stand to be the best family stand in the EFL and have lots of exciting plans to help us get there. One objective of ours is to ensure the correct people are therefore in this stand – young family groups who we want to impress on and off the pitch in the hope of creating the next generation of O’s fans.

“We do acknowledge that there are Adults and Concessions who have regularly purchased in this stand legitimately – for example, with youngsters who have grown up watching from the north end of the ground and then have never been asked to move stands post-18. However, we are also aware that others will have simply taken advantage of the cheaper prices without the intention of ever bringing an accompanying youngster with them and this has to change.

“From next season the introduction of new ticket scanners will allow us to identify and challenge those individuals who we believe have regularly flouted the rules for their own gain and then at times spoilt the family experience. We therefore encourage current Season Ticket holders without a youngster to take advantage of our Early Bird Amnesty to move to another part of the Breyer Group Stadium.“
