Following the O’s revealing their retained list earlier in the week, Head Coach Ross Embleton has had his say on two outgoing players.

Although joining at different stages in the season, George Marsh and Ouss Cisse were key figures in The O’s side – and, speaking earlier in the week, Embleton was quick to acknowledge that.

George Marsh

“Having known George since he was 10 or 11, I knew he had the characteristics to come into our club and make a mark.

“It was in extremely tough circumstances that he came into the club, but I feel as though he became a strong member of the team, and when he looks back it will be a strong period of his career, making over 25 appearances.

“We thank him for everything he’s done and wish him all the best with the future.”

Ouss Cisse

“I think it’s safe to say that along with different circumstances changing, once he arrived at the club in January, our performances and form changed for the better.”

“Ouss settled in really quickly, although he hadn’t played a lot, and was excellent. He gave us something that we didn’t have at the club, and he made a big impression on everyone at the club.”

“He’s no doubt the type of man and player I would like to work with again in the future.”

The full retained list was released earlier in the week, and can be viewed here.
