The O’s recorded a 2-0 win in the first leg at Brisbane Road in front of 9,298, before heading north three days later – where a tight 1-0 defeat clinched The O’s place in the playoff final against Wrexham.
Of course, Orient went on to beat Wrexham over two legs to secure promotion to the Third Division, as Mark Cooper’s 82nd minute goal sent the 13,000 packed into Brisbane Road crazy.
The footage has been unearthed from the loft of the Scarborough Cameraman Jim Goodman – who was contacted by O’s fan Neil Irvine.
It was kindly sent onto the club for wider use, and we are delighted to say we will be showing both games in full – and even keeping to the original days and kick-off times for authenticity!
