Leyton Orient returned to The Breyer Group Stadium for the first time since March, on Saturday morning.

The O’s squad were split down the middle for an inter-squad friendly, which finished 1-1. Conor Wilkinson was clinical in the area to open the scoring for the side in blue but Jordan Maguire-Drew’s free-kick in the first half levelled the game.

Head Coach Ross Embleton was delighted with the application of his players:

“It was brilliant being back at the stadium and being out on the pitch, albeit for a game between our selves. I was absolutely delighted with the approach this morning and the intensity I saw.

We’re looking forward to progressing through pre-season and we’re excited for the future friendlies we have lined-up. Today was an important first step for our players to build match fitness as we look to get ready for the coming season.”

Preparations continue to be made, as we get ready for the new season, which is scheduled to start on the weekend of the 12th September.
