The club was one of a final number of shortlisted entrants for the Sponsorship awards, which you can view here.
“As a club we are delighted to be receiving this award,” said Chief Executive Danny Macklin.
“Thanks to the phenomenal support given by Harry Kane and his team at CK66 we have been able to develop what we hope will be a long-lasting partnership, record replica shirt sales, and most importantly exceptional coverage for our shirt partners Barts Chairty, Haven House and Mind.”
“The award is testament to the huge amount of hard work that has gone into it from everyone at Leyton Orient, and of course Harry and Charlie Kane, and those at CK66.”
During difficult times for football clubs, Leyton Orient and Harry Kane partnered to create a unique and lasting partnership to the benefit of three great causes.
With Leyton Orient looking for a new front of shirt sponsorship for the 2020/21 season, the club approached CK66, the agency representing the England Captain.
Harry and those at CK66 saw this as a wonderful chance to give back to the club where he made his professional debut, but also to partner with amazing charities.
Frontline Heroes (Bart’s Charity), Haven House Children’s Hospice and Mind, the Mental Health Charity, were selected for the club’s partners and designs finalised.
The launch saw the campaign feature across the world, with every back page in the UK coupled with prime time tv interviews, including Good Morning Britain.
The response commercially was a massive hit, too, with Orient selling more shirts in one week then they had managed all of last season. Since then, the numbers have continued to rise to record highs, and the demand continues to rise.
Throughout the season, activations with the charity partners will be carried out to ensure the messages of all three are projected far and wide.
