Following the postponement of their match with AFC Wimbledon, Orient return to action this weekend as they head to Hertfordshire to take on Stevenage.

Last Time Out

With last weekend’s game postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, the O’s last taste of competitive action came a fortnight ago in a 3-1 defeat away at Enfield Town.

Chris Brayford’s side fell behind early on to a strike from Beau Parker but responded well to equalise through Nyara Denny. The contest was an evenly matched one heading into the final stages, however the Towners stole away with the victory thanks to two strikes in the final ten minutes that condemned Orient to their first defeat of the new season.

The Opposition

Stevenage come into this one having lost all four of their opening games. Consecutive 5-0 defeats in their first two fixtures were followed up most recently by losses to Enfield Town and Kent Football United. The Hertfordshire based side are yet to find the net this season but will undoubtedly be looking to change that on Sunday.

Previous Meeting

The last meeting between these two sides came in September last year. Orient raced into a three-goal lead thanks to two Otesha Charles strikes either side of one from Connie Monitel-McCann.  A late consolation goal from Amy Makewell proved to be just a footnote on a fine O’s performance as they ran out 3-1 winners at the County Ground.
