For the under-18s next EFL Youth Alliance fixture, the O’s will be hosting Stevenage in east London.

Alex Lawless and Brian Saah’s side will be looking to build upon their recent draw against league-leaders Luton Town.

In their most recent outing, the O’s lead the game twice through Daniel Nkrumah and Jaheim Whyte but ultimately had to settle for a point in Bedfordshire.

Looking ahead to the under-18s’ fixture this weekend, Brian Saah recognised the squad’s improvement over the last few weeks and is optimistic for Saturday.

“It’s building blocks. The first-half performance last week was really pleasing but the second-half not so much. Today (Luton), a bit more of a full performance in terms of competing and, like you say, it’s a step in the right direction,” Saah shared.

“I think the most important thing now is to take that momentum into the next game and, obviously, try and push and get a win.”

As for Stevenage’s youth side, they last featured on Tuesday night as they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Gillingham in the EFL Youth Alliance Cup.
