ACADEMY PREVIEW: Peterborough (A)

access_time 1 year ago

The young O’s will look to dust themselves down following their defeat at the weekend, as Brian Saah’s side travel to Peterborough on Tuesday afternoon for their next EFL Youth Alliance fixture.

In our most recent outing, the young O’s fell to a 2-1 defeat, with league-leaders Luton Town departing east London victorious.

The away side opened the scoring in the 36th minute and later added their second of the game through a sublimely-taken free-kick. Bryan Ifeanyi attempted to kickstart a comeback in the 75th minute, however, Luton managed to hang on to secure all three points.

Now, the O’s make the 90-mile trip up north to take on Peterborough, who recently dispatched Northampton Town by winning 2-1.

This game was originally scheduled for the 21st November and now the O’s have a game in hand over the likes of Stevenage and AFC Wimbledon. Should Saah’s side record a victory in Cambridgeshire, then the O’s could rise to 8th in the division.

This game will be a 1 P.M. kick-off and if you want to follow the live coverage of this game, make sure you’re following @LOFCAcademy on Twitter.
