The club are saddened to learn of the passing of former player Dave Dunmore.

Dunmore represented The O’s 147 times between 1960 and 1964, and was a fans’ favourite who knew how to find the back of the net.

A tall, powerful forward, Dunmore scored 54 times for The O’s and was a part of the 1961-62 promotion winning season to the First Division.

During the club’s only season in the top flight of English football Dunmore was a standout player, and finished as the club’s joint-top goalscorer.

Prior to his time at The O’s, Dunmore represented both West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur, having switched to the Lilywhites from York City.

The club would like to extend its sympathies to the family of Dave, who passed away on Sunday, 11th July at the age of 87.
