Earlier in 2021, Coley became one of two new directors on the Leyton Orient board after The Common Group participated in the latest round of investment into the Club through its sports-focused fund Common Sport, led by Coley and Common Sport partner Sam Helmy. The Club is delighted that the venture capital platform has expanded its support specifically to feature its logo on the back of Leyton Orient FC Women’s playing shorts for the 2021/22 season.
Alongside all other partners of the women’s team – Qualiteach, Moore Kingston Smith, ReThink and STIRZ – The Common Group will have the opportunity to be involved in community initiatives undertaken by Leyton Orient FC Women, as the Club begins this new era in women’s football and creates opportunities for local women to be involved in all aspects of the Club.
Josh Stephens, Head of Commercial at Leyton Orient FC, said: “Leyton Orient FC Women is a hugely exciting project. We have secured some amazing partnerships, and we are delighted by The Common Group’s desire to support women’s football. We are all excited to play our part in creating more opportunities for girls and women within our community to take part in football.”
Coley Parry, Founder and CEO of The Common Group, said: “There has never been a more exciting time for women’s football, and we feel that the Leyton Orient FC Women are primed for success now and in the future. We are thrilled to be able to back this team, as well as the extended LOFC community.”
