Fans’ vote for next three Hall of Fame spots confirmed

After opening the vote to supporters, the next three spots for the inaugural Leyton Orient Hall of Fame have been confirmed.

Almost 2000 votes were received, with over 60 players throughout our decorated history nominated.

As announced on #OrientLive earlier tonight, the three nominated inductees are as follows….

Matt Lockwood – With the highest share of the vote, the inclusion of Lockwood won’t be a surprise to Orient fans. 328 appearances from 1998-2005 saw the attacking left-back notch over 50 goals for The O’s, and earn his space in the supporters hearts.

Dean Cox – In his six year spell with The O’s, Cox became known for his attacking threat and killer instinct with 57 goals and 82 assists in 263 games. That accounts for a goal involvement every other game – which coupled with his passion, made him a true fans’ favourite.

Jobi McAnuff – Part of a special club, as a promotion winning captain. Returned to the club after a mixed first spell, with a hunger to prove his character to Orient fans. He did that and more, leading The O’s back to the promised land and walking The O’s at Wembley. In his 166 total appearances he scored on 19 occasions before taking on the role of Interim Manager towards the end of his spell with the club.
