An interview with our very own Ebraima Davies

Can you just tell us a little bit about your footballing background and when you joined Leyton Orient?

“I joined Leyton in 2019, December. That’s when I first signed with them. I was quite young, and football has always been in the family, so I got it off my dad. As I was a kid we always used to go to the park, and he used to train me, and that’s where it all started. I’ve always had the love of football from a young age.”

What position do you play, and what made you want to play there?

“I play on the wing. I like playing there because I like to be exciting, I like to show what I can do and I’m quite fast as well.”

If you had to compare yourself to a player in your position that best resembles your playing style, who would it be and why?

“Maybe…I’d say Messi.”

What would you say is your best attribute?

“I would say my dribbling, taking on players.”

Do you have any goals that you want to achieve with your time at Leyton Orient?

“My goal right now is to try and get in and around the first team. To hopefully impress the manager and make my league debut.”

What football team do you support? And who’s your favourite player?

“I support Arsenal, and my favourite player is Messi.”

What is your favourite food?

“Its traditional but I like Jollof rice, I like a lot of heat to be fair.”

What sort of music do you listen to?

“I like music that will get me in the mood. Maybe rap, grime and sometimes a bit of drill.”

What is your favourite song to listen to before a game?

“Maybe Digga D, and I like Dave’s new album as well, I like to listen to that before a game.”

What were your first pair of football boots?

“I think they were Mercurial’s, and they were like black and yellow. I’m pretty sure they were from 2009, Ronaldo had them at the time

What do you do in your free time?

“I usually spend it with my family and friends, usually when I’m not playing football I’m resting or watching games and relaxing to be fair.”

Do you play any video games like FIFA? And who’s the best in the team?

“I used to be a fan of FIFA, but I don’t really have the time to play it anymore. I’d say maybe Harrison (Sodje) he’s pretty good.”
