The awards, which took place in London on Thursday 23rd September, saw The O’s and Harry Kane pick up their second award – having won the equivalent at the 2020 Leaders in Sport Awards.
“It was an honour to be shortlisted for this prestigious award but to win it is something else, said Chief Executive Danny Macklin. “We were in very good company in the shortlist including Liverpool, Norwich and Rangers. I would like to thank a number of individuals who have played leading roles in this achievement.”
“This amazing gesture continues to be a magical partnership.”
“Firstly, of course, Harry Kane – the model pro, through his exceptional generosity and support he has provided a unique platform for the Club to gain unprecedented global exposure, record shirt sales but more importantly fantastic and deserved recognition given to our charity partners.
“This season sees three benefiting charity partners, The Tommy Club, Haven House Children’s Hospice and Mind Mental Health. These are three causes close to Harry, his team, and the Club’s hearts.”
“Secondly, Harry’s team, including Charlie, Pat and Lois have worked around the clock to bring to life the partnership and provide added exposure for all. Finally, but by no means least, this partnership required a team approach from many including, Josh, Pa, Emily, Lucy, Jake, Luke & Dan and our retail team led by Lucy.”
“We’re thrilled that this partnership has received this award,” added Head of Commercial, Josh Stephens.
“A huge thanks go out to Harry, CK66, all of the charities we work with. This amazing gesture continues to be a magical partnership.”
