Meet Nilufer Ibrahim, Chenay Hussey and Zahmena Malik. All three players have shown themselves to be great additions to the team, both during pre-season and in season.

“I feel honoured to play for a club with such amazing history”

Nilufer Ibrahim, 19, is a quick and skilled defender, whose calm presence in our defence will be an asset to the team this season. Nilufer is another progression from our U18s.

Nilufer was always involved in football – she attended her two brothers’ football sessions and one day decided to take it up herself. She played in a mixed team from the age of nine, before playing for a ladies academy.

“When I put on my Leyton Orient kit, I feel like I’ve made it!”

Zahmena Malik, 19, is a tricky attacking player, with plenty of pace who can see that killer pass, but also has an eye for goal. She is a new player for the club, and has previously played at Tottenham Hotspurs for six consecutive years before joining Barking Abbey College.

Zee is a local player, who’s hard-working team ethic will be vital as the season progresses. She started playing football at a young age and fell in love with the game.

“Whenever I step onto the pitch it’s an opportunity to express myself and improve my game”

Chenay Hussey, 21, is a versatile midfielder, who has the ability to switch play with her fantastic range of passing. She is a local player from East London, and is one of the newest members of the team.

Che started her football journey at age 11 and has played with Tottenham Ladies, before going on to a two-year scholarship in Miami, Florida.
