Paul Smyth selected for international duty

Orient forward Paul Smyth has been called up by the Northern Ireland national team to represent them in the upcoming international break.

The diminutive forward, who returned from a hamstring injury at Port Vale on Saturday, will miss The O’s trip to Barrow.

Smyth will join up with Ian Baraclough’s Northern Ireland squad for World Cup Qualifying matches against Switzerland and Bulgaria on Saturday 9th and Tuesday 12th October 2021 respectively.

The O’s head to Crawley Town in the Papa John’s Trophy on Tuesday 5th October with a 7pm kick-off.
