Support Tommy Club at Saturday's Remembrance fixture

access_time 1 month ago

With help from home shirt charity partner, Tommy Club, the O’s will be marking Remembrance at their home league match against Hartlepool on Saturday 30th October.

As well as remembering all those members of the Armed Forces who have died in the line of duty, including the 3 Clapton Orient players who lost their lives at the Battle of the Somme, the Remembrance fixture will provide an opportunity for O’s fans to learn more about The Tommy Club and the support they give to the country’s most vulnerable Armed Forces Veterans.

A special Limited Edition Leyton Orient Tommy statuette will be on display in the Club Shop, and fans can now purchase their own online here. Tommy Club volunteers will also be collecting donations before and after the match outside the stadium, as well as inside the ground at half time – cash donations will be accepted so please bring along your spare change!

The funds raised through Tommy Club, which is run by Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI), provide the vital welfare support and employment opportunities military veterans need to overcome challenges caused by physical or mental disability and regain their independence.

You can find out all about the O’s home shirt charity partner via their website here, and keep an eye out for more from Tommy Club in the next few days leading to Saturday’s Remembrance activities.
