“They’re a really talented group and I’m excited to keep an eye on their progress and development”
On Friday evening, Female Development Officer, Olivia Worsfold visited our Sister Club Buckhurst Hill FC, work with a mix of their U15 and U13 Lionesses.
Buckhurst Hill FC became the first Sister Club of Leyton Orient FC Women a month ago; The partnership enables Leyton Orient to work closely with local grassroots girls’ teams. Players from Buckhurst Hill provide Leyton Orient FC Women with a guard of honour for their stadium debut back in October
On Friday 25 girls were put to task with Olivia, leading them in an hour of football fun, supported by the coaches from Buckhurst Hill.
‘The girls were fantastic, despite the cold they had great energy, and did everything asked of them. They’re a really talented group and I’m excited to keep an eye on their progress and development. Buckhurst Hill are a fantastic club and have an ever-growing girls’ section – tonight shows that!’
As well coaching the older girls, Olivia took some time to watch a few of the younger age groups train and meet their volunteer coaches.
Leyton Orient Fc Women are extremely proud to have Buckhurst Hill as their first sister club and are excited to build strong connections with local grassroots girl’s clubs and enhance to female football in the surrounding areas.
