Manager Brian Saah was pleased with the effort of the players, but admitted he would’ve liked to have seen more efforts on goal.
Speaking after the game, Saah said:
“The boys gave a good account of themselves. Disappointed with the result and the fact we did not work their Goalkeeper enough.”
A tough game was expected and Brian Saah appreciated their efforts; “I thought the boys worked hard and tried to do the right things. I Think we needed more variety to our play going forward which could have caused Chelsea more problems.”
Jephte Tanga scored The O’s only goal of the game in the second half, and proved a live wire all game. Tanga has made some appearances for the first team, coming in for the Papa Johns Trophy.
Brian Saah on Jephte Tanga:
“I think he worked hard and tried to cause their defence problems. Happy for him to get his goal because over the course of the season so far he has arguably been our most consistent player so far.”
