Global Coaching Programmes

Formed in 1881, Leyton Orient is the second oldest professional football club in London, based in the East End of the city.

Our passion is to develop confident, respectful, enthusiastic and trustworthy young people, both boys and girls, as well as creating exciting, adaptable players who can go on to play at the highest level.

We are proud of our record of producing many young players that have progressed to play first-team football, either in our first team or at various other clubs across all levels, Including the English Premier League. Many have also represented their countries at international level.

Our neighbouring Premier League teams respect and trust our method and content of our coaching staff so much so that they have the confidence to allow many of their young players to come to us on loan to further their education and experience in becoming a professional footballer. This includes current England captain Harry Kane, Andros Townsend and George Marsh from Tottenham Hotspur; Charlie Daniels at Bournemouth FC; and Kevin Campbell at Arsenal FC.

We possess a diverse range of European Football Association (UEFA) and FA qualified coaches. The coaches that deliver our Player Development Programmes across the globe are all LOFC Academy coaches.

Our Programmes

To-date we have delivered programmes at locations across the world including the United States (Wellesley in Boston and East Fishkill in New York) Denmark (Kolden) and India (Chandigarh).

We deliver player development camps and team camps. These camps are delivered the ‘Orient way’ and can be structured to meet the specific needs / outcomes of individual players, groups of players within a team (e.g defenders, forwards etc) coaches and teams. In addition we can deliver coaching clinics for all levels of coaches, from volunteer to elite.

Opportunities to visit the UK

We also offer opportunities for player, coaches, parents and teams to visit our club here in London. Not only are we able to provide a memorable Leyton Orient experience, but with central London on our doorstep, visiting teams and clubs have a fantastic opportunity to explore one of the best cities in the world.

This Leyton Orient ‘experience’ can include:

  • A visit to our training ground to watch and meet our first team and youth team train
  • A training session(s) with our Academy coaches
  • A competitive game against our Academy and our grassroots partnership clubs
  • Watching a Leyton Orient home match
  • A behind-the-scenes tour of the Breyer Group Stadium

We also host an annual tournament on the Breyer Group Stadium pitch at the end of May, which sees us invite our partner clubs to attend. East Fishkill (USA) attended our 2019 tournament and won the girls plate competition, playing against teams such as Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, QPR and many more.

Next year we are looking to organise a tournament with our Danish partnership club, with the intention of inviting our partner clubs to attend in Denmark.
