Second string stung by two late goals at Charlton
AN O'S reserve side fell victim to a couple of late goals when they were defeated 2-0 at Charlton Athletic on Tuesday afternoon.
The visitors looked set to force a 0-0 draw against a strong Addicks side, but saw their hard work come undone right at the death.
There were valuable appearances for Jamie Jones (pictured) and Scott Cuthbert, who continue to build their match fitness following long-term injuries.
Other pros Leon McSweeney, Alex Smith and Billy Lobjoit were also involved for the away side, who named a number of scholars in their line-up.
Assistant manager Kevin Nugent said: "For 88 minutes it was an excellent performance against a good Charlton team.
"We were limited in chances ourselves, but we also restricted Charlton well with our defending and it was a useful workout."
