Former WBA and Millwall stopper joins to add competition between the posts
FORMER West Bromwich Albion and Millwall goalkeeper Ryan Allsop has signed a six-month deal with the O's.
The 20-year-old stopper will provide competition for Jamie Jones between the posts as Lee Butcher continues with his recovery from a serious knee injury.
Allsop spent last season at The Den after coming through the ranks with Barclays Premier League outfit West Brom and he represented England at under-17 level.
He also turned out for Icelandic side
Höttur this summer.
O's boss Russell Slade said: "Ryan is a goalkeeper with huge potential and he will provide stiff competition for Jamie Jones.
"Our goalkeeping coach Kevin Dearden has been very impressed with him over the pre-season period and he has been rewarded with this contract.
"He has been playing in Iceland over the summer so is in good shape and he is a keeper with great presence."
