The Essex Senior League outfit's first team will provide Andy Edwards' scholars with their first test of the summer, with a schedule of six further friendlies set to follow.

Takeley are managed by former O's star Steve Castle and finished third in the Essex Senior League last term. The match, which will take place at Takeley's Station Round ground, will kick-off at 3pm.

The under-18s then travel to another local non-league outfit the following Saturday (July 21) when they take on Hadleigh.

The rest of the youth team's friendly schedule is made up of matches against fellow under-18 sides, with the O's set to take on Bristol Rovers, Dagenham & Redbridge, Charlton Athletic, Ipswich Town and Cambridge United.
