NEWS: Sawyer Picks Up Ban

26 November 2012

Defender collects fifth booking of the season

GARY SAWYER will be suspended for Sunday's FA Cup with Budweiser second round tie at Alfreton Town after picking up his fifth booking of the season at the weekend.

The O's left back was yellow carded by referee Andy Davies for a second half foul on Preston winger Todd Kane.

Sawyer had been walking a disciplinary tightrope since being booked for the fourth time this term almost two months ago, but will now be forced to miss his first game since joining the club in the summer.

Ben Chorley is the O's most-booked player this term with seven yellow cards to his name, while Lee Cook is one away from a ban with four.
