PREVIEW: 'We Want To Win Every Game'

9 October 2012

Boss treating JPT clash like any other match

THE early rounds of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy may not normally draw the crowds in, but O's boss Russell Slade says he will be treating Tuesday's match against League 2 strugglers Barnet as he would any other game.

Orient take on the Bees looking to progress to the area quarter final stage of the competition for clubs in Leagues 1 & 2, having been given a first round bye.

Barnet are still searching for their first win of the season and Slade wants that to still be the case at 9pm on Tuesday.

He said: "We received a bye in the first round of this competition so this is our first involvement in it for the season, and let’s hope tonight’s game is settled more quickly than the 28 penalties it took for the game against Dagenham last year!

"We want to win every game that we play and tonight’s is no different. Winning breeds confidence as we’ve seen in the recent upturn in our League form, so it would be good if we could bounce back from Saturday’s loss to Sheffield United with a strong performance and progress in this competition this evening.

"We have a lot of games to contend with in a short space of time this month, so keeping that positive momentum going is important.

Tickets for tonight's game (kick-off 7pm) are priced at just £10 adults, £5 concessions and £1 under-18s. Click here for full turnstile and ticketing information.
