Manager wants O's form to keep on building at Crewe on SaturdayORIENT head to Crewe Alexandra on Saturday looking for a fourth straight win.
The O's have recovered from losing their first three League matches of the campaign to move up to 16th in the npower League 1 table with wins over Swindon, Brentford and Yeovil.
And with a trip to Gresty Road next on the agenda, O's boss Russell Slade is looking to continue that run.
"I don't think you should get carried away with three defeats and I don't think you should get too carried away with three wins," he said.
"That's football and that's how it can turn. It's a very fine line between success and failure sometimes, we've been on both ends of it but it's about momentum.
"We've got a bit of momentum now, a good attitude towards everything and we're a little more effective now.
"It was a good performance on Tuesday and we managed to score a few goals, which will do us no harm at all.
"It was all good news for us and hopefully that will bring more condidence to our forward play."
Crewe will be the third newly-promoted team Orient have faced already this season and despite spending four years out of League 1, Slade is well clued up on their abilities.
He explained: "I know they will play and they have some very good young players. And they've lost some very good young players to clubs in the Championship and the Premier League.
"They have a good source of players, and whoever plays they're normally talented and have something to offer.
"The front two are very lively and have good movement. It'll be another test, they've made a really solid start to the season."
