LEYTON ORIENT manager Russell Slade was overjoyed with his side's performance as they romped to their fifth successive League victory.
The victory marked the best ever start by an O's side to a season, though Slade admits that the statistics were not something that were going through his mind at the time.
"I wasn't thinking about the history at any stage, I have to be honest, all I was thinking about was trying to galvanise the boys and to get a win. It was a tough game and was always going to be our toughest one the back of our 120 minutes that we had on Tuesday," said Slade.
"The big thing was that I was asking them to go that extra mile and there's not much traffic in that extra mile cos not many people get there, but there was a lot of my players got there today.
"The strikers are in the form of their lives at the start of the season which is you want, they've got five a piece and they are looking so potent at the minute, it's frightening.
"The spirit is fantastic, I couldn't ask for anymore. All we can do is take ourselves and we managed to get the win again and we're very pleased about that."
