Departing defender pays tribute to club and fans
BEN CHORLEY has expressed his thanks to the club, players and fans upon leaving Orient to sign for Stevenage.
"It’s always difficult to move clubs, I’ve got a lot of friends at Orient but it’s something I’ve grown accustomed to over the years." He said.
"I want to wish the club every success for the future, they’ve got a great opportunity to get to Wembley and I really hope they get there. I also want to thank the manager and the coaching staff for everything but most importantly the players and the fans for all their support. The fans have always been brilliant to me and I enjoyed every minute of playing in an Orient shirt."
"The departure was all very amicable and there was no malice. It purely came down to the number of years that Stevenage were willing to offer me and I had to consider everything and what is best for my family.
Orient is a great club and I really do wish them all the best and hope they get a great day out at Wembley."
