O's feeling buzz of third round involvement - boss
ORIENT boss Russell Slade is looking forward to experiencing the magic of the FA Cup with Budweiser again when his side travel to Hull City.
In his time in charge at Brisbane Road, the Londoners have enjoyed Cup days to remember with wins at Norwich and Swansea, as well as a famous draw with Arsenal.
And while they go into Saturday's game with the Championshup high-flyers as second favourites, he is determined to give it a real go on Humberside.
"It's a special day in the football calendar," he said. "It's when all the big clubs come into action in the FA Cup and we're going to one of those bigger clubs in the form of Hull City.
"They've really started chasing at the top of the Championship and are looking as good as anybody for promotion to the Premier League.
"We're underdogs for sure, it's a tough place to go, a big venue, but we're looking forward to it."
With those victories at Norwich and Swansea still fresh in the memory from a couple of years ago, Slade doesn't have to look far for inspiration as Orient head north for Saturday's game.
He added: "It can help [being underdogs], and you hope it does, but it's about going there and making sure that, one, you're organised and two, you're focused and have the right work ethic to be competitive on the day.
"We did that a couple of seasons ago when we went to Norwich and Swansea, and worked really hard to stay in those games.
"We were resilient and were difficult to beat in those games, managing to eke out a couple of really positive results.
"You can't always do that but that's what we'll be striving to do for sure."
