League sponsors provide tickets for Coping Through Football scheme
Saturday’s game against Oldham Athletic saw Capital One teaming up with the Leyton Orient Community Sports Programme to offer people on one of the community schemes the opportunity to watch some live npower League 1 action.
Throughout this season, LOCSP have been running an exciting project called Coping Through Football which aims to use the power of football to transform the lives of people who suffer from mental health problems.
Each week the scheme sees participants get together at the SCORE Centre opposite the Matchroom Stadium for sessions that are based around small sided games and skills work and as the season came to a close, Capital One donated some of their tickets as part of their sponsorship agreement with the Football League, to the scheme.
Howard Gould, Orient’s Community Liaison Officer, commented, “It’s great that we were able to use Capital One’s tickets for our Coping Through Football project and I know the people who came along really enjoyed their day out watching some live football.”
