OMOZUSI: 'There's More To Come'

7 October 2013

Defender happy with his own form but believes he still has more to offer the team

Orient defender Elliot Omozusi was disappointed with the first half showing at Boundary Park as Orient came from behind to grab a point at Oldham Athletic.

“We’re pleased to come away with a point I suppose though we’re not too happy with the way we started in the first half. We let in a sloppy goal that I put my hands up to but we pulled together and went in at half time and put some things on the table and then have showed good character to get the result," he said.

"We shouldn’t have put ourselves in that sort of position in the first place but we have a lot of strong characters in the dressing room so we came at fighting in the second half and there was only one side going to go on and win it in my opinion."

The defender has been ever-present since returning the side and believes he can continue to improve too.

"I feel good, I feel like having had a long time out I haven’t had a run of games like this for a few years. I’m getting fitter and stronger all the time though I feel there’s still a lot more time to come from me and I just need to keep going.

"It’s nice being top, we’re getting more attention from the media and friends and family and we feel like we deserve to be there so long may it continue I suppose."
