O's Win Performance Of Week Award

26 September 2013

The LMA panel hand award to the O's after Brentford victory

The League Managers Association five-man Performance of the Week panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry, were in agreement that this week, the LMA Performance of the Week Award should go to Leyton Orient following their excellent 2-0 away win against Brentford in Sky Bet League 1 on 23 September 2013.

Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade will receive a specially engraved crystal football in a presentation to commemorate the award.

Orient won the seventh LMA Performance of the Week Award of the season to maintain their 100% start to the season.

Goals from Dave Mooney and Shaun Batt ensured the visitors have now won their first eight Sky Bet League One games, where only seven teams in the history of the top four English divisions have started the season with a longer winning streak.
