PREVIEW: Plymouth (A)

12 August 2014

O's start their week on the road with a long trip to Devon

FORM: Orient head into the Capital One Cup game looking to get their season up and running after the opening day defeat to Chesterfield. The O’s have a strong record in the first round of the League Cup and haven’t fallen at the first hurdle since the 2008-09 season when they were defeated 4-1 at Ipswich Town.

Plymouth too are looking to kick start their campaign after suffering a 1-0 defeat at the hands of newly promoted Cambridge United on the opening day in League Two. Argyle have a poor record in the competition having progressed to the second round only once in the last six years.

TEAM NEWS: Scott Cuthbert and Chris Dagnall missed the first game of the season through injury though it remains to be seen whether they will return tonight. O’s boss Russell Slade admitted after Saturday’s game that some of his new players need more minutes under their belt and could hand out more debuts tonight.

Plymouth have a fully fit squad to choose from and Argyle boss John Sheridan has suggested he will field a full strength side in an attempt to get a win after considering themselves unlucky to leave the Abbey Stadium empty handed on Saturday.

TICKETS: Kids are a quid tonight and full ticket info can be found here

BETTING: The O’s are favourites with Sky Bet at 7/5 back them at www.skybet.com/orient and you could help us win £250k to spend on players!
