Dean Cox and Harry Lee surprised some excited pupils at George Mitchell All Through School in Leyton with some new Orient kit on Thursday afternoon.
George Mitchell All Through School is just a stone's throw away from Brisbane Road, and Cox and Lee are familiar faces with the secondary pupils, but this time the O’s pair visited the primary school and gave bags full of Orient kit including shirts, shorts, socks and boots for the children to wear when they are playing football.
The excited year five pupils had prepared questions to ask Cox and Lee and after the question and answer session, the pupils got to see their new kit and get the O’s pair’s autographs. The pupils were overjoyed with their new kit and one of the pupils said, “I am in heaven!”
Cox and Lee then walked around the school and popped into every classroom to say hello to the pupils and sign autographs for them, much to the pupils’ surprise!
Cox said, “It was great to meet all of the children at George Mitchell, they were all so excited to meet us, they were so polite and well behaved and I am glad that they can now play football in Orient kit.”
