O's forward feeling sharp
DAVID MOONEY believes Orient may have turned a corner after defeating Crawley 4-1 on Boxing Day.
Mooney came off the bench and grabbed his fourth goal of the season (his third in five games) and believes the key to the victory was in Orient's fine start.
"It was a massive win for us," said Mooney. "The manager said before the game to treat it like a cup final and we did from the word go. We started well and that early goal settled us down. It was a great finish from Coxy and the second one with his ball in and Dags' header must be one of the goals of the season.
"It was a big team performance and what we need to do now is follow that up on Monday at Yeovil with more points."
It has been a frustrating first half of the season for last year's top scorer, though appears to be finding form as the O's head in to 2015.
"It's been so stop-start for me so far this year, I feel good though and want to start more games but we'll have to see how that goes," he said.
