New manager in as Milanese returns to Sporting Director

LEYTON ORIENT have today appointed Fabio Liverani as manager.

Liverani, a former Italy international, has managerial experience with Genoa in Italy and has signed a two and half year contract with the club.

The new manager brings with him new members of the backroom staff with Marcello Donatelli (assistant manager) and Maurizio Cantarelli (fitness coach) also joining the club.

Mauro Milanese will return to his previous role as Sporting Director, whilst the existing backroom staff will also remain at the club. 

The new manager met with the players and staff at the O’s training ground today (Monday) and will take full control from tomorrow (Tuesday).

Upon signing Liverani said: “I’m excited about this challenge and cannot wait to get started at Leyton Orient. This is a long term project and we will work together to make it a success.”
