On Saturday we welcome our official charity partners Haven House and St. Joseph’s Hospice to the match against Swindon.Volunteers will be joined by local football team, Colebrook FC so please give them a warm welcome at the Matchroom Stadium and cheer them on as they bear the Stand Up for the Orient flags pre-match and participate in half time penalty shootout with Theo the Wyvern and Henry the Hound!
There will be charity collectors stationed around Matchroom Stadium. Don’t be shy and show them the proper O’s community spirit with your generous donations. Every bit counts to helping our partners be as successful as the O’s performance on the pitch this season!
Haven House makes it their mission to help identify and work with children in London from birth to age 19. Haven helps children who are life-limited or have complex health needs. Working together with children’s families Haven aims to provide the highest quality care to increase their patients and family’s quality of life. They provide a wide range of services in the hospice and our local community.
St. Josephs’ practices a similar mission only they provide services and support to people over the age of 18. St. Josephs also works with adults who are life-limited or have serious health problems. They work out of the hospice or patient’s home to provide the best care and support possible. Similar to Haven House, St Josephs strive to enhance the quality of life for the patients and their families in the East London community.
Please donate generously to the bucket collectors around the stadium or if you cannot make the game but would like to donate or find out more information then visit their websites below.
