Vote On Another South Stand Banner!

6 February 2014

We've got one space left to fill at the back of the Tommy Johnston Stand and want you to help decide what goes in there!

As you will have seen, this season we have been busy bringing some life and colour to the Matchroom Stadium with the installation of some new banners around the ground.

The banners celebrate the past and present of the O’s ranging from a memorial banner of Clapton Orient’s famous efforts in World War One, right through to current O’s star Kevin Lisbie who welcomes visitors to East London on the outside of the West Stand.

The majority of the banners are positioned at the back of the Tommy Johnston stand and we have space for one more before the back of the stand is complete. We want your to help decide what goes in that last space.

We want you to decide which promotion season from the following three you would like immortalised at the back of the stand:

1961-62 – promotion to the top flight, the only time this has been achieved in the club’s history
1988-89 – 25 years ago this year the O’s were promoted from the old Division Four via the play-offs
2005-06 – Our most recent promotion, secured famously at Oxford United on the final day of the season with a dramatic 3-2 win

To vote simply head to our home page on www.leytonorient.com and scroll down to the opinion poll on the right hand side. The most popular choice will be converted into a banner by O’s fan and budding designer Damon Gray.
