Former Barnsley forward joins to become fifth January arrival at the club
LEYTON ORIENT have today (Thursday) signed striker Chris Dagnall on a permanent basis.
The forward was released from his contract at Championship side Barnsley last week and has made the move south to E10 to sign an 18 month contract.
Dagnall becomes the fifth new arrival at the O’s in the January transfer window and is likely to go straight into the squad for Saturday’s trip to Crewe Alexandra.
The 27-year-old came through the ranks at Tranmere Rovers before making his name at Rochdale where he scored 60 goals in 142 starts ahead of a move to Scunthorpe and subsequently Barnsley.
Dagnall scored 10 goals at Championship level for the Tykes last season whilst this year he has also enjoyed a loan spell at Coventry City.
He will wear the number 23 shirt at the club.
