The ebm-papst East Stand is the oldest stand still in use at the Matchroom Stadium, having been opened in time for the start of the 1956-57 season after it was purchased from the derelict Mitcham Stadium and reconstructed on the Brisbane Road site.
Today it houses visiting supporters to the Matchroom Stadium, with the half at the south end of the ground given to away fans, and the north end allocated to home supporters. The stand is currently undergoing refurbishment with the old style seating being taken out and replaced with more modern chairs, while the old directors section, known as the Wyvern Suite, is also being taken out resulting in a reconfiguration of the stand and the sponsorship money from ebm-papst helping towards the cost of this major refurbishment project.
